Our goal is to make your infant's first transition away from home easy and natural for not only the baby but for the parents as well. Jubilee Kids infant program is designed to support each baby's individual schedule and is dictated by specific, personal needs. We recognize the importance of infants having responsive adults who recognize and meet their needs in a nurturing and consistent manner. Every child in the Infant Room is assigned a primary caregiver to ensure individual attention is given. The children will also form trusting bonds with the other caregivers in the room. All of our care givers are cognizant of the importance of establishing a stable relationship through which trust and security are generated.
Daily sheets are sent home to keep you informed of your baby's day. Our babies are never left in their cribs while awake. Rather, our caregivers make sure your child's awake time is spent out of the crib where they will stretch and cuddle, push and pull, and experience sights and sounds to learn about their bodies and the world around them. Our teacher's enjoy using language with the babies through engaging them in dialogue, singing and reading stories to them. Our curriculum provides opportunities for the babies to socialize, explore, and discover while our high standard for care ensures that they are loved and cared for unconditionally.
The older babies in our Infant Room begin to master their bodies and their environment as they crawl, waddle and walk. In addition, fine motor development such as grasping and manipulating objects opens up a whole new world for these babies! Since children learn primarily through play, the equipment and toys have been carefully selected by our team of experienced educators to ensure they are age appropriate, safe, and purposeful. Our teachers have been trained to implement a program with a balance of nurturing, playing and learning throughout the day. They understand that their interaction, conversations and give-and-take play contributes immeasurably to the baby's development. They naturally interact with children by teaching songs and words, lessons of cause and effect, and safe interaction with the world around them. They are committed to ensuring the development of confidence, self-esteem and a love of learning.
We understand that caregivers of Toddlers must continue to provide a safe, responsive, consistent, loving and supportive environment. Our toddlers are busy mastering walking, running, and other gross and fine motor skills in a classroom designed to encourage independence and socialization. Here, they begin to establish friendships and self-help skills such as dressing themselves and eating with utensils, and their language skills develop rapidly! Toddlers begin to show a genuine interest in other children but their play is characteristically parallel rather than interactive. Our teachers are trained to guide them through choosing an activity that interests them and then allowing them to explore independently. They gain confidence by using their words and thoughts to interact in a group setting. Their day is filled with hands-on activities that are engaging and interesting to active toddlers. They have many activities to choose from such as building, painting, sand and water play, play dough, and housekeeping. Our Toddlers are assigned a primary caregiver to assist with all of their individual needs and their schedule is still based on their unique feeding and sleeping schedule.
These 2's are in no way "terrible"! Stuck somewhere between babyhood and childhood, these curious kids are acquiring and enthusiastically using many new skills- most notable are language and motor control. Our 2 year old program is designed to focus on the continued development of social skills and education fundamentals. Here, the children begin to recognize their "school" as an environment filled with friends and opportunities for exploration. Daily small group instruction will focus on self help skills and allow for individual teachable moments. We strive for a perfect balance of nurturing, learning, and playtime by combining fun and engaging activities with quality care. Children will be exposed to a variety of activities designed to reach every kind of learner- sensory, auditory and kinesthetic experiences will be available throughout your child's day. At this age, play is still characterized as parallel rather than interactive but social skills are nurtured through their growing independence and self-assertiveness. Two year olds need a supportive and safe environment in which new skills can be practiced and mastered and where frequent, enthusiastic praise encourages further exploration. Our 2's are assigned primary caregivers to assist the children with essential, everyday needs as the schedule becomes more uniform instead of individual in terms of feeding and sleeping.
Our Preschool program marks an exciting time for these almost "school-aged" kids! The classroom is designed to provide an environment that is conducive to social interaction and observation that leads to discovery. Language acquisition helps increase peer interaction among this age group making three year olds more socially aware than younger children. They will begin to share and take turns. Lessons are carefully planned and implemented based on assessment and individual learning styles. Learning centers such as a library center, a dramatic play center, an art center, a manipulative center and a listening center are at the core of our 3 year old program which will promote pre-reading and pre-math skills through developmentally appropriate practice. In addition, we will focus on building strong social-emotional and intra-personal skills as well as self-esteem and confidence in a group setting. Our main goal is for your child to finish our program with the skills, foundation, and a love of learning that is essential for their future success in school. Our teachers are patient, have a great sense of humor and have created an atmosphere that is conducive to safe, engaging, social exploration.
Our before and after-school care program is a perfect transition for children who are preparing their day for school or just finishing up from their school day. While we do not currently provide a transportation service, some schools in the Naperville area will pick up and drop off your child before and/or after school. We offer a school age room that is appropriate to the development of your child. We will support what they have learned at school as well as provide for some relaxation time and play to support the busy day that they have experienced. Help with homework is also available.
